Term Limits Sap the Job
Joe Solis’ March 11 letter defending term limits, saying it is “just like a liberal” to oppose them, is absurd, especially in view of the poor performance of our California legislators on energy. The big problem with term limits comes from the fact that those elected spend more time lining themselves up for another office and less time with their constituents, etc.
Worse yet, job performance while in office is never scrutinized carefully enough by voters, who spend an even smaller amount of time evaluating their own legislators’ credentials and wisdom about important issues that affect us all.
