LaBute’s ‘Shape of Things’ Set for Laguna Playhouse
The Laguna Playhouse has dropped a planned staging of George Bernard Shaw’s 1897 play, “Candida,” in favor of the West Coast premiere of “The Shape of Things” by playwright-screenwriter-director Neil LaBute.
“The Shape of Things,” first seen last year in London, concerns the relationship between Adam, an art gallery security guard, and Evelyn, a kinky art student. The show runs June 1-30, with previews starting May 28. (949) 497-2787.
