From Times Wire Reports

A London-based bookseller accused of plotting the murder of the former leader of the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan appeared at London’s Old Bailey central court for a two-day pretrial hearing.

Egyptian Yasser Serri, 38, denies conspiring to kill Ahmed Shah Masoud, the anti-Taliban leader who was blown up days before the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S.

Serri is alleged to have provided letters of accreditation for two assassins who posed as TV journalists to get close to the army commander to detonate explosives.
