Spielberg to visit Cuba for film fest
Director Steven Spielberg will travel to Cuba next week for a festival showing eight of his films, including “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Jaws.”
Spielberg will meet with Cuban filmmakers and visit the International School of Film and Television, said Marvin Levy, a Spielberg spokesman.
Spielberg is making the trip at the invitation of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Arts and Industry. Organizers say the trip has been authorized by the U.S. government under a license for noncommercial film-related cultural exchange and exhibition activities.
