Crowd Mourns Killer of 2 CIA Employees
From Times Wire Reports
Thousands of Pakistanis gathered in the city of Quetta to hail Mir Aimal Kasi, executed last week in the U.S. for killing two CIA employees in 1993.
About 20,000 people packed a soccer stadium as a Muslim cleric recited funeral rites. Some held banners reading, “Down with the U.S.A.” and “Shame, Shame, Bush!” Meanwhile, the newly elected National Assembly interrupted its proceedings to offer a brief prayer for Kasi.
Kasi, 38, was executed by injection in Virginia.
