Car Strikes Woman, Children in Intersection

A mother and her two daughters suffered cuts and scrapes Tuesday morning when they were struck by a car in an intersection while walking to Poinsettia School in Ventura.
Debbie Fox, 42, of Ventura, and her daughters, ages 9 and 7, were hit shortly before 8 a.m. at Victoria and Albion avenues, Police Sgt. John Turner said.
Christin Castro, 19, of Ventura, who was driving the car, was issued a misdemeanor citation for failing to yield to pedestrians, Turner said.
