Car Crashes Into Kids at School; Eight Hurt

Eight children were injured, two of them seriously, when a car hit them outside their Memphis elementary school.
“A car jumped the curb and hit some kids lined up outside the school waiting for their parents to pick them up,” said Teresa Taylor, watch commander for the Memphis Fire Department. “Eight kids were struck. Two are in bad shape.”
The crash took place about 3:30 p.m. outside Chimneyrock Elementary School, police said.
