1 Dies as 65-Foot Truck Plunges Off Ferry
From Times Wire Reports
A 65-foot truck rolled off a ferry and plunged into Long Island Sound, killing one person.
The truck fell off the ferry a little less than a mile from the dock at Orient Point, near the end of a trip from New London, Conn., said Coast Guard spokesman Steve Sapp.
Police said the truck was in the last row of the ferry when it broke through three sets of chains and plunged into 100 feet of water.
