Girl, 12, Struck by Car Is in Serious Condition

A 12-year-old Oxnard girl who was struck by a car remained in serious condition Wednesday night with head injuries, authorities said.
The girl, whose name was not released, was being treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. Details of her condition were not released.
About 7 p.m. Tuesday, the girl darted from a sidewalk on J Street into the path of a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by an 81-year-old Oxnard woman, authorities said. The driver was not cited.
