Stampede That Killed Goats Leads to Suit

A dairy goat company has filed suit against a fireworks firm, a church and the city of Manteca for sponsoring a fireworks display that led to a goat stampede, leaving 10 animals dead and others injured.
Bettencourt & Son Dairy sued Fred May and Fireworks by Boom Boom and the Calvary Community Church, where the fireworks show was held.
Tony and Sherri Bettencourt are requesting $100,000 in damages to cover the loss of animals, veterinarian bills, damage to fences and buildings and loss of milk production.
