Man Arrested After Pot Garden Is Found in Park
From Times Wire Reports
A man was booked on drug charges after federal officers found a huge pot garden in the Point Reyes National Seashore.
About 2,700 marijuana plants valued at $1.5 million were uprooted, officials said.
Pedro Cano, 22, was charged Monday with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, said Richard Meyer, a spokesman for the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
Federal authorities said more than 100 trees apparently were hacked down to clear land for the pot plot, with damage to the area set at about $50,000.
