A final look at the top 10 wrestling teams in the Southland:

1. SANTA ANA CALVARY CHAPEL (SS-DIV. I)

Joe Williams and Yuri Kalika won state titles for Eagles, who won the Inland Individual championship and were third in state. Five Calvary Chapel wrestlers placed among top four at state.

2. SANTA ANA (SS-DIV. I)

Won Division I Dual and Southern Individual championships, had three place among top three at Masters and sent five to state meet.

3. NORTH TORRANCE (SS-DIV. II)

Division II Dual and Central Individual titles were first Southern Section wrestling titles in school history. Had four state qualifiers and a school-record eight Masters qualifiers.

4. EL MODENA (SS-DIV. I)

Eastern Individual champions upended Calvary Chapel in Division I Dual semifinals. Sent eight wrestlers to Masters and four to state, including Masters champion Daniel Contreras.

5. ROSEMEAD (SS-DIV. II)

Runner-up in Eastern Individual and Division II Dual championships had two Masters champions in Sean Prentice and Manuel Rivera.

6. TEMECULA VALLEY (SS-DIV. II)

Led by 130-pound state placer Morgan Atkinson, Golden Bears were Coastal Individual champions and semifinalists at Division I Duals.

7. AYALA (SS-DIV. I)

Runner-up to Calvary Chapel at Inland Individual championships, Ayala had seven wrestlers qualify for Masters and three advance to state.

8. LOS ALAMITOS (SS-DIV. II)

Runner-up at Coastal Individual championships had season highlight when 160-pounder Tim Le finished third at state. Heavyweight Danny Espinosa finished eighth at state.

9. ATASCADERO (SS-DIV. I)

Champions of tough PAC 5 League went on to Northern Individual championship and had six qualify for Masters. Chris Torres (119) and Glenn Rhees (130) advanced to state.

10. CANYON SPRINGS (SS-DIV. II)

Finished 12th in state and second only to Calvary Chapel among Southern Section teams. John Rojas (112) won state title.
