Top Officials Limited to Just One Seized Farm

President Robert Mugabe ordered top officials who grabbed more than one farm during the government’s seizures of white-owned land to reduce their holdings to one property. The government also published a list of 418 farmers whose land was seized, inviting them to contact the Ministry of Agriculture to discuss compensation.
Dozens of party leaders have taken more than one farm under a controversial plan that was supposed to redistribute the properties to landless blacks.
