* Matt Oliver had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for Crescenta Valley in a 61-56 victory Friday over Newhall Hart in the final of the Crescenta Valley tournament.

* La Canada improved to 9-1 with a 70-58 victory Saturday over Torrance Bishop Montgomery in the championship game of the La Canada tournament.

CLUTCH

* Preston Hutson hit the game-winning basket with 10 seconds left in overtime Saturday to give South Pasadena a 57-56 victory over Avalon in the final of the Avalon tournament.

COMEBACKS

* Matt Ankeny scored the final eight points Saturday in an 8-2 run in the final of the Anaheim Convention Center tournament, helping Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley to a 38-37 victory over Anaheim Esperanza.

* Long Beach Wilson trailed, 20-2 and 22-6, in the first half Friday before rallying for a 70-65 victory over No. 15 St. John Bosco in a consolation-bracket game at the Sonora/Troy tournament.

LOOKING AHEAD

* Lynwood, which finished third Saturday at the California Prep Invitational, plays host to the West Coast Challenge starting Friday. Compton Centennial and Long Beach Poly are entered.

* The Torrey Pines tournament starting Friday has Compton Dominguez, Riverside King and L.A. Loyola in the elite National division, Huntington Beach Ocean View and Chino Hills Ayala in the American division and Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley and Lake Forest El Toro in the Governor’s division.
