Feeding of Pigeons to Be Banned in City
From Times Wire Reports
It will soon be against the law to feed pigeons in Sausalito. The City Council passed the new rules after local merchants complained that feeding the birds was causing a mess.
Sausalito city officials say that business owners have been spending thousands of dollars over the years to clean up bird waste.
In February, a city ordinance will go into effect making it illegal to feed pigeons and other wild animals.
Scofflaws who are caught feeding pigeons will face a fine of up to $50 for the first offense.
