Man Wounded at Home by Acquaintance

A 42-year-old Oxnard man was in critical condition Saturday night after being shot inside his home by an acquaintance earlier in the day, authorities said.
Mark Droney was shot once in the abdomen about 7:15 a.m. in the 3100 block of Geronimo Drive, authorities said. The shooter fled and had not been located as of Saturday night.
Droney was being treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. The motive for the attack was unknown.
Authorities said that the victim was not cooperating with police.
