Pinched District May Close One Grade School
From Staff and Wire Reports
Facing shrinking student enrollment and $750,000 in budget cuts, the school district may close one of its 10 elementary schools.
Closing a school would save the district $308,000 a year.
Half of the district’s schools have fewer than 400 pupils each, said Supt. Ida Rickborn, who will recommend Wednesday which school to close.
