Winds Topple Trees, Trigger Power Outage
From Times Staff Reports
High winds toppled several trees and a utility pole Sunday night, causing a power outage throughout much of the city.
Police said the city’s west side appeared hardest hit by the outage, which began about 10 p.m.
Traffic signals remained lighted on much of the east side of the city, police said.
Crews were expected to restore power within hours, police said.
