2 Metrolink Deaths Believed to Be Suicides
From Times Staff Reports
A 52-year-old motorist who was killed earlier this week drove his vehicle into the path of a Metrolink train to commit suicide, the Los Angeles County coroner has ruled. After the driver’s death on Monday, a will and a suicide note were found in his home, said Capt. David Campbell, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.
On Thursday at 5:33 a.m., a Metrolink train plowed into a stopped car in the City of Industry, killing a 37-year-old Walnut man also in an apparent suicide, authorities said.
