Blackstone Group Taps Paul O’Neill as Advisor

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill, who resigned under pressure from the Bush administration in December, was named special advisor to Blackstone Group, the privately held New York investment bank, the firm said Monday.
O’Neill, Treasury secretary for two years and former CEO of aluminum producer Alcoa Inc., will advise Blackstone on operational and related issues to its portfolio companies, Blackstone said. O’Neill also will join Blackstone’s advisory board.
