Matt Hynick, Chaminade: Went five for five, with a home run, two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored in a 12-6 victory over El Camino Real, No. 24 in The Times’ rankings, in the Chatsworth tournament.
Daric Barton, Marina: Cal State Fullerton-bound senior went four for four with three home runs and five RBIs to lead the eighth-ranked Vikings in a 9-5 nonleague victory over Moorpark.

Amanda Klimczak, Diamond Ranch: Pitched a two-hitter with 18 strikeouts and went two for three with a triple, an RBI and one run scored in a 4-1 victory over 13th-ranked Hacienda Heights Wilson in the Charter Oak tournament.
Taryne Mowatt, Corona Santiago: Pitched a one-hitter and struck out 13 to lead the 10th-ranked Sharks in a 7-1 victory over 15th-ranked Anaheim Canyon.
