Traffic Too Is an Issue
Aside from the water and environmental concerns, I have but one question for the L.A. County supervisors with respect to their anticipated approval of the Newhall Ranch project (March 26): Who is paying attention to the daily commute into and out of the Santa Clarita Valley? Regardless of which agency is ultimately responsible for expanding and maintaining our freeway access, I would think that the current inadequacies should be as seriously addressed as the water and environmental issues. Why aren’t those of us who sit in this gridlock each morning making more noise?
