Fidel Gonzalez, Westminster: Singled in the winning run in the ninth and had a three-run home run in an 8-7 Division III quarterfinal victory over West Hills Chaminade.

Paul Johnston, Garden Grove Pacifica: Had three hits, five RBIs and three runs scored in a 13-2 Division IV quarterfinal victory over La Puente Bassett.

Andy Bouchie and Zeck Zinicola, Riverside Arlington: Bouchie a two-run home run and Zinicola threw a five-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks in a 4-1 Division I quarterfinal victory over Mission Viejo.

Chris Winger, Anaheim Canyon: Had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs in an 8-1 Division II quarterfinal victory over Corona Santiago. Vinnie Pestano pitched a five-hitter with five strikeouts.

Tommy Hawk and Brad Wright, Lompoc Cabrillo: Hawk pitched a three hitter with eight strikeouts and no earned runs and Wright had three hits and three RBIs in an 8-1 Division IV quarterfinal victory over Garden Grove.

Carlo Mejia and Ozzie Lewis, Granada Hills Kennedy: Mejia had a two-run double in the sixth and Lewis got the final six outs to earn the save in a 2-1 victory over North Hollywood in the first round of the City Championship playoffs.

D.J. Lewis, San Fernando: Had three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs in a 7-4 victory over Van Nuys Grant in a City Championship first-round game.

Andy Flores and Edgar Sedano, L.A. Roosevelt: Flores gave up four hits and struck out four in six innings and went two for four with two RBIs and Sedano hit a two-run home run and added another RBI in an 8-0 victory over L.A. Marshall in a City Championship first-round game.

Artem Fatkhiev, L.A. Fairfax: Defeated Joseph Tehan of Woodland Hills Taft, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-2 in a City Section quarterfinal match.
