124 Illegal Afghan Immigrants Deported
From Times Wire Reports
Pakistani authorities deported 124 illegal Afghan immigrants rounded up in the southwestern city of Quetta, amid pressure on Pakistan to stop Taliban insurgents from operating in its border regions, police said.
The deportees were handed over to Afghan authorities at a border crossing in Chaman, northwest of Quetta, said Shoaib Suddle, police chief in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province.
They were among 550 Afghans arrested over the last 10 days. The rest also are likely to be sent home.
