Undercover Deputy at Its Meetings, Group Says
From Times Wire Reports
A peace activist group has accused the Fresno County sheriff of sending an undercover detective to its meetings.
Members of Peace Fresno say Aaron Kilner regularly attended the meetings, telling members who asked what he did for a living that he was independently wealthy. The undercover sheriff’s detective died in an off-duty motorcycle accident Aug. 30.
Sheriff Richard Pierce would not say whether Kilner attended the meetings, but he said Peace Fresno “was not and is not the subject of any investigation by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.”
