Regal Entertainment Net Income Up 22%

Regal Entertainment Group, the world’s largest movie-theater chain, said third-quarter earnings rose 22% as higher ticket prices and the acquisition of 52 theaters in the northeastern U.S. boosted revenue.
Net income rose to $44.2 million, or 30 cents a share, from $36.1 million, or 27 cents, a year earlier, the Centennial, Colo.-based company said. Sales rose 10% to $629.9 million.
Regal shares rose 11 cents to $19.66 on the NYSE.
