‘Cold Case’ is ratings winner
The new CBS drama “Cold Case” drew impressive ratings in its premiere Sunday, while the debuts of ABC’s “10-8” and NBC’s “The Lyon’s Den” were less than stellar.
“Cold Case,” about an investigator specializing in old cases that remain unsolved, averaged 15.5 million viewers, while its competition on ABC, “10-8,” about two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, drew about 9.2 million.
CBS’ movie, “12 Mile Road,” starring Tom Selleck as a divorced father, far outdrew the season premieres of ABC’s “Alias” and “The Practice,” as well as the premiere of “The Lyon’s Den” on NBC. The latter series, which stars Rob Lowe, attracted 12.4 million viewers.
