Police Identify Man Killed in Car Crash

A man killed Monday night when his vehicle struck a light pole was identified by authorities Tuesday as Uriel Diaz, 54, of Santa Ana.
The crash at Edinger Avenue and Baker Street in Santa Ana caused the pole to topple onto the car, pinning the man inside. Diaz was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. Police said they found alcohol in the vehicle and believe it may have contributed to the crash.
