Schwarzenegger to Visit Troops at Base in Germany
SACRAMENTO — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will visit California troops stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany after completing his trip to Israel this weekend, his office said.
The office has revealed few details about the visit, which will extend Schwarzenegger’s first foreign trip since he took office in November.
The governor will visit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Saturday and Sunday to meet people who do business in California, to drum up more business for the state and to take part in a groundbreaking for the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s new Museum of Tolerance.
The governor is visiting Israel at a tense time. The U.S. Department of State issued an updated warning Wednesday urging Americans to delay trips to Israel, citing threats against U.S. interests.
