Police to Post Data on High-Risk Sex Offenders
From Times Wire Reports
Residents will soon be able to get more information off the Internet about high-risk sex offenders living in San Francisco.
The Board of Supervisors approved a resolution Tuesday asking the San Francisco Police Department to add a link to its website that contains pictures of the offenders and the area in which they live.
About 740 serious sex offenders live in San Francisco, Supervisor Tony Hall said.
About two dozen are deemed high risk, having been convicted of multiple and violent sex offenses. The change is expected to be made in a few weeks.
