Serbia Returns to Old Anthem, Coat of Arms

Serbia’s parliament restored the republic’s 19th century anthem and ancient coat of arms, which it used before merging in the early 1900s with its Balkan neighbors to form the former Yugoslavia. Montenegro adopted its own anthem and flag in July. The Serbian anthem has been rephrased to avoid a reference to the king.
