Man Pleads Guilty in Death of Girlfriend’s Son

A man accused in the death of his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son pleaded guilty Monday in Long Beach Superior Court to first-degree murder, officials said.
Steve Martin Berinti, 27, faces 25 years to life in prison as part of an agreement with the district attorney’s office.
Two years ago, Berinti was charged on suspicion of fatally injuring Kenneth Ogasawara in the Long Beach apartment he shared with the youngster’s mother.
