Forgotten history
I just read about the plans to create a movie theater bigger than life at the Westside Pavilion (“Botox for the Bijou,” by Lorenza Munoz, Feb. 15). Having the advantage of being born and raised here, I’ve seen many changes -- some good, some not so good.
That corner at Westwood and Pico boulevards used to house the old Picwood Theater and Picwood Bowling Alley. I guess they became obsolete so they were torn down. Maybe they should have left well enough alone. We never learn how to appreciate what we have until it’s gone and forgotten.
