Dinosaurs to help Legoland evolve
Legoland California will add a new dinosaur-themed roller coaster as part of its fifth-anniversary expansion this year. Coastersaurus, a family coaster from German designer Gerstlauer, will anchor Dino Island, which will also feature an archeological-dig play area. Dino Island will open April 1.
Fun Town Fire Academy, a firetruck racing ride, will debut on Memorial Day weekend. In June, the Carlsbad theme park will expand its Miniland display with a Florida section, featuring scale models of Cape Canaveral, Miami Beach and the Daytona International Speedway.
