CHP Seeks Help in 605 Shooting
The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in a car-to-car shooting Friday on the 605 Freeway.
The shooting occurred about 9:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Telegraph Road after the victims, two men in a Honda CRX, made eye contact with the occupants of a black Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition with tinted windows, large tires and chrome rims, said CHP Sgt. Tim Maley.
“Looks were exchanged, and the next thing we know shots are fired and there’s an individual on the call box requesting help,” Maley said.
The driver of the Honda suffered two gunshot wounds to the left leg. Maley said the freeway was temporarily closed while CHP officers searched for evidence.
Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP at (323) 906-3434.
