Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an apparent triple homicide in Yucca Valley after a friend visiting a house spotted the bodies inside.

Authorities were called to the 7600 block of Joshua View at 10:40 p.m. Monday after receiving a call from a woman who had looked in the window because no one answered her knock.

She said she saw people on the floor inside, said Cindy Beavers, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman went to a pay phone and called 911, Beavers said. Responding deputies from the Morongo Basin station then called homicide investigators.

The county coroner’s office was not called to the house until 8 p.m. Tuesday because investigators wanted extra time with what Beavers called “an extensive crime scene.”

Authorities did not release the victims’ names.

Several neighbors said the residents of the house were boisterous.

“Some neighbors have called police constantly because of the loud music and cars coming and going all hours of the night,” said neighbor Barbara Meek.

“They had some pit bulls out back that barked continuously,” Meek said.

The residents had lived at the home for more than a year and had “a lot of old cars parked in the backyard. At one time they had 10 or 15 cars out there,” Meek said.
