Hong Kong Lifts Ban on Pet Bird Imports

Hong Kong lifted a precautionary, five-month ban on pet bird imports from mainland China. Local dealers reportedly lost 90% of their business during the ban, which was aimed at preventing the spread of bird flu.

Hong Kong was not hit by an Asian bird flu outbreak this year, but neighboring mainland China was.
