Read Between Lines of Berger Scandal
Re “Amid Probe, Berger Cuts Ties With Kerry Camp,” July 21: I am happy to see how well the Patriot Act is preserving our national security.
Just this past week, Congress voted to retain language to allow the government to continue monitoring the books I and every American check out from public libraries and purchase from bookstores.
Meanwhile, former national security advisor Sandy Berger is able to simply walk in and out of our National Archives with classified documents.
So that there is no question as to when, what and why I am reading, this week I will begin reading the final report of the Sept. 11 commission, along with millions of American, dare I say, patriots who genuinely care about the state of our nation and our constitutional rights, as well as our country’s security.
