Motorist Sought in Hit-Run Death of Boy, 10

Police are searching for a motorist who they said fled the scene after hitting and killing a 10-year-old boy.
The driver was southbound in the 800 block of Raitt Street about 7:45 p.m. Sunday when he struck Justin Martinez of Santa Ana, police said. Martinez, who was not in a crosswalk, died at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
The motorist, who was driving a two-tone Chevy Astrovan or a similar vehicle, could face felony hit-and-run charges for fleeing the scene, police said. Anyone with information is urged to call police at (714) 245-8216.
