Game 4 Rating Increases 66%

Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Lakers and Detroit averaged a 14.4 overnight rating and a 23 share in the nation’s 55 largest markets. That’s 66% higher than the 8.7/14 overnight rating for Game 4 of last year’s Finals between New Jersey and San Antonio and 20% higher than the 12.0/20 for Game 4 of the 2002 Finals between the Lakers and New Jersey.
Sunday night’s game got a 30.6 rating and a 50 share in Los Angeles and a 45.9/61 in Detroit.
