Officer Shooting at Dogs Wounds Partner in Leg

A police officer trying to shoot at two charging pit bull terriers accidentally shot and wounded her partner in the leg Wednesday, Long Beach police said.
The officers were investigating a call about an armed man about 12:45 a.m. near 25th Street and Maine Avenue when the dogs charged, investigators said.
