Truck Hits and Kills Transient

A 37-year-old transient was killed late Tuesday when he was hit by a pickup truck on Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
Blake Harris Tiegel died at the scene after he was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Moorpark Road south of Gainsborough Road about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Ventura County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.
The driver of the pickup was not cited.
Tiegel has relatives in Los Angeles and Simi Valley, authorities said.
