The Firm Names Former Disney Exec as Chairman
Former top Walt Disney Co. TV executive Rich Frank is joining the Firm entertainment company as chairman of the board, folding his Integrated Entertainment Partners venture into the business.
Founder Jeff Kwatinetz will continue as chief executive, with Kwatinetz and partner Rick Yorn sharing a chairman’s title. Julie Yorn will head Firm Films.
Before starting his most recent venture, Frank was chairman of C3, a production company started by Comcast Corp.
Frank left Disney in 1995 after overseeing such hit shows as “Home Improvement” and “Golden Girls.” At the studio, he served as chairman of Walt Disney Television & Telecommunications as well as Disney’s syndication arm. He also served as president of Walt Disney Studios.
Mitch Kanner, also a principal in Frank’s company, will head up the Firm’s brand division with Christopher Gebhardt joining as a marketing executive.
