MARLBORO, Mass. — After identifying a third set of remains found in the woods off Interstate 495, authorities Thursday said they were more certain that a serial killer was to blame for the women’s deaths.
The victims were petite Latino women from Worcester in their late 20s or early 30s, with histories of drug use and prostitution, Dist. Atty. Martha Coakley said. The likelihood that all three were killed by the same person was “medium to high,” Coakley said.
A body found last September on the wooded campus of the Hillside School in Marlboro was identified Thursday as Betzaida Montalvo, 29.
Several days after her body was found, investigators searching the campus found the remains of Carmen Rudy, 29, who had disappeared a year earlier.
This month a contractor working in a woods adjacent to Hudson found the body of Dinelia Torres, 33.
