Man Indicted in Illegal Gun Sales
In what officials say is the largest seizure of assault weapons in state history, a Laguna Niguel man has been charged with the possession and sale of illegal assault weapons over the Internet, the Orange County district attorney’s office said Wednesday.
Andy Sun, 48, was arrested Tuesday. He is the owner of Defense Technology in Lake Forest, where state Department of Justice investigators recovered 507 illegal assault weapons and 23,000 high-capacity ammunition magazines.
Sun was indicted by the grand jury on 55 felony counts, including possessing an assault weapon for sale, possessing high-capacity magazines for sale and child endangerment.
