Stamp Marks Civil War Ship’s 150th Anniversary
From Times Wire Reports
A commemorative postage stamp honoring the U.S. warship Constellation will be issued June 30, the Postal Service said.
The self-adhesive 37-cent stamp will be issued in Baltimore, where the Constellation is now a floating museum. The stamp will go on sale nationwide July 1.
The stamp commemorates the 150th anniversary of the last all-sail-powered warship built by the U.S. Navy and the last Civil War-era naval vessel still afloat.
