Man, 45, Dies From Gunshot Wound
A 45-year-old Oxnard man died early Sunday of a gunshot wound, authorities said.
Officers responding to a report of gunshots about 12:30 a.m. found Anthony Daniel Palomares wounded in a residence in the 400 block of West Hemlock Street in Oxnard, police said.
Palomares was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner’s office said. Palomares was found alone in the residence, and police did not immediately say whether he lived there.
Police did not identify a suspect or motive but said the shooting did not appear to be gang-related.
