1 Killed, 3 Hurt in O.C. Jeep Crash
From a Times Staff Report
One person died and three were injured when their vehicle slid off a road in the Cleveland National Forest east of Silverado Canyon, the California Highway Patrol reported Saturday.
A CHP report said a Jeep Wrangler carrying five people on Maple Springs Road tumbled down a steep hill, ejecting two passengers.
One of them, Kristi Ure, 20, of Mission Viejo, died at the scene, the Orange County coroner’s office said.
The CHP said drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident, which occurred at 9:30 p.m. Friday.
