Coast Guard Ends Search for Missing Man
From Times Wire Reports
The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a San Francisco surgeon who disappeared while diving for abalone over the weekend off the Mendocino coast.
William Krupski, the chief of vascular surgery at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, was diving with his wife in the waters south of Fort Bragg on Saturday afternoon when he disappeared.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the sea was rough at the time of Krupski’s disappearance, with waves of 12 to 14 feet.
