* Jovonte Taylor, Los Angeles Locke: Rushed for 137 yards and scored twice in a 20-6 Coliseum League victory over L.A. Manual Arts.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
* Andy Stevens and Mark Milovic, Villa Park: Stevens, a junior goalie, made 14 saves and Milovic, a senior utility player, had three goals and one assist as the Spartans defeated Carlsbad, 9-7, to win the North Orange County tournament title. The Spartans are ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll.
* Rory Bevins and Scott Schauer, Anaheim Servite: Bevins had four goals, five assists and one steal and Schauer had two goals, four assists and eight steals for the Friars, ranked No. 3 in Division II, in an 11-3 victory over Santa Barbara, ranked No. 2 in Division IV, to take third place in the North Orange County event.
* Derek Hingelveld and Jeff Greenwood, Whittier La Serna: Hingelveld scored six goals and Greenwood had four as the Lancers (22-4), ranked No. 4 in Division III, defeated Riverside Poly, 15-13, to take fifth place in the North Orange County tournament and avenge a loss to the Bears, ranked No. 1 in Division V.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
* Mallorie Croal and Meghan Meehan, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Croal had 12 kills and four aces and Meehan, a freshman making her first start, had nine kills to lead the Monarchs to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-17 nonleague victory over Huntington Beach Edison.
GIRLS’ FIELD HOCKEY
* Katie Ruth and Danielle Fontes, Glendora: Ruth and Fontes each had two goals and an assist as the Tartans (8-0-3) beat Huntington Beach Marina, 5-0, to advance to the semifinals in the Los Angeles Field Hockey Assn. Tournament of Champions.
